THE elegant and upmarket La Casita sits in a tranquil setting in the hills above San Pedro and Marbella and is well worth the 10 minute drive inland. Candle-lit and beautifully decorated, it offers delicious traditional cooking with a modern twist. Tablecloths in white linen and highly knowledgeable waiters are further pluses. Choose a la carte or the tapas menu, which offers miniature versions of the dishes on the main menu. Everything is prepared carefully by chef Lawrence, who has previously worked with top chefs such as Gordon Ramsay and Shaun Hill. This is quickly obvious when the first dishes arrive.
