Santa Fe

ONCE a rather fuddy duddy sort of place on the outskirts of Coin, these days Santa Fe is an exciting country restaurant with rooms. One of the hippest, most alluring spots in Malaga province, the stylish decor and ambience is easily matched by the food. Starting with a cup of coffee, a creamy capaccino de asparagus, it was obvious straight away that this was not going to be a normal Andalucian meal. But this is perhaps not surprising given that young Dutch chef Jaap Schaafsma, 27, has worked among Holland’s best restaurants. Having recently taken over the hotel with his girlfriend, the food is a stylish mix of Spanish and international.
